Octopus Sandwich

There are tamale sandwiches, tostada sandwiches, chilaquiles sandwiches... making sandwiches allows you to use your favorite ingredient, no matter what it is. With this recipe, you will learn how to make a seasoned octopus sandwich with garlic, onion, tomato, cilantro, and hot sauce, a different way to prepare octopus.

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons Salsa Huichol® hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 2 octopuses, cooked kids
  • 4 telera rolls
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado
Preparation
Low
  • Fry the garlic, onion, and tomato in the oil. Season and mix well; remove from heat.
  • Add the Huichol sauce and cilantro. Stir.
  • Add the octopus cut into large pieces, stir, and set aside.
  • Open the bolillos and spread mayonnaise on both sides. Add the octopus mixture with sauce.
  • Slice the avocado and place it on top. Close the sandwich with the bread lid.
