Oriental Noodles with Shrimp

Delicious oriental noodles with a soy and honey sauce served with grilled shrimp.

  • 180 grams oriental noodle, (soba)
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, freshly chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • limes, to accompany when serving
  • 500 grams shrimp, medium peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup bell pepper, yellow and red, in strips

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for 4 minutes or until tender. Drain to remove the water and place them in a bowl.
  • In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of oil, soy sauce, and honey. Mix this dressing with the noodles.
  • In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and cook the garlic over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  • Grease a pan. Sauté the bell peppers. In a bowl, mix the lemon zest, juice, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix this dressing with the shrimp and season with salt. Cook in the pan for about 2 minutes on each side.
