Grilled Pineapple Salmon in Sweet Sauce

This summer, treat yourself to this delicious salmon paired with tasty grilled pineapple marinated in a sweet sauce. Serve this dish with a small salad.

  • 2 tablespoons Great Value® honey
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 4 salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Special Olive Oil®
  • 1 teaspoon Great Value® plain salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 4 slices pineapple
  • 4 tablespoons green onion stalks, chopped for garnish

  • For the sauce, in a pot heat the honey with the soy sauce, water, sugar, ginger, and garlic. Let it come to a boil and then lower the heat.
  • Mix the cornstarch with the water and incorporate it into the previous preparation. Cook for about 10 minutes over low heat, or until it thickens.
  • Grill the salmon fillets with olive oil, season with salt and pepper on both sides, and cook to your desired doneness.
  • Dip the pineapple in the sweet sauce and grill on both sides until marked.
  • Serve the salmon fillets with the pineapples and more sweet sauce. Garnish with chopped green onion stems. Buy HERE
