The potatoes are peeled and grated. Once grated, they are squeezed with a kitchen cloth to remove excess liquid and placed in a large bowl.
The onion is finely chopped and added to the bowl with the grated potato. Salt and pepper are added to taste.
The egg is lightly beaten and added to the potato and onion mixture.
Two tablespoons of flour are added and mixed lightly.
In a frying pan, enough olive oil is heated.
Once the oil is hot, pancakes made from the grated potato mixture of about two or three tablespoons are placed in the pan.
The pancakes are fried until the potatoes are cooked and golden (about 10 minutes). They need to be turned so that both sides of the potato pancake are golden.
Once all the pancakes are ready, they are served with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
