In a pot over medium heat, heat the teriyaki sauce and add ginger, fennel, orange marmalade, and the syrup from the pineapple, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Season the salmon with salt and pepper and cook in a skillet over medium heat with oil to your desired doneness.
Add a little more sauce and cook until you obtain a thick and shiny sauce, basting occasionally with the sauce.
In a bowl, place the pineapple slices and cover them with some of the remaining sauce, grill over high heat until marked on both sides.
Serve the salmon over a bed of basmati rice and garnish with pineapple, scallions, and sesame.
