Tuna is a delicious fish that is best when seared. Searing means it is cooked only on the outside while leaving the inside medium-rare to fully enjoy its flavor.
In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic cloves until golden.
Pat the tuna fillets dry with paper towels and coat them with a mixture of black sesame and regular sesame seeds.
Cook the fillets in sesame oil, ensuring that the exterior is fully cooked while leaving the interior raw. This means cooking each fillet for approximately 2 minutes on each side.
Remove the fillets and keep them in a place where they won’t cool down.
To the skillet with the sesame oil where the tunas were browned, add soy sauce, lemon juice, and finely chopped green onions.
Pour the sauce into a deep plate for plating the fish.
