Seared Tuna Medallion on Avocado Puree with Citrus

Try this delicious tuna medallion accompanied by a tasty bed of avocado puree with citrus. It's a fresh dish and the combination of flavors will win you over.

  • Remove all the pulp from the avocado halves and place it in a bowl. Mash with a fork until it forms a puree.
  • Squeeze juice from lime, lemon, and grapefruit. Set aside.
  • Once the liquid is added, add a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper. Add chopped fresh cilantro.
  • Mix the mashed avocado with the citrus mixture. Taste and adjust the seasoning.
  • Seal the tuna medallion over high heat for 10 seconds on each side; if you don't have non-stick, apply vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Let it rest.
  • After resting, cut into even pieces in the form of thick slices to your desired thickness.
  • To plate, on a flat dish, spread a bed of avocado puree. Arrange the slices of tuna on top of the puree. Decorate to your liking.
