Shrimp Aguachile Mexican Style

Nothing is more delicious than a rich and fresh shrimp aguachile. Accompanied by cucumber, onion, lime, and cilantro. It's perfect for seafood lovers and for the Lenten season.

  • 100 milliliters lime juice
  • 1 cucumber
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 Jalapeño chiles, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • 400 grams shrimp, clean
  • 1/2 red onions, sliced

  • Cut the shrimp lengthwise without cutting all the way through, place the shrimp on a flat plate.
  • Marinate with 50 milliliters of lime juice, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate.
  • Blend half a cucumber, jalapeño, the rest of the lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Strain and set aside.
  • Cut the onion into julienne strips, the half cucumber into small cubes, and the jalapeño into very thin slices.
  • Cover the shrimp with the strained mixture and add the chopped vegetables on top.
