Shrimp Fra Diavolo

These rich and easy shrimp are made with a tomato sauce, bacon, onion, and garlic.

  • 600 grams medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, powder
  • 1/4 cups bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups tomato sauce, (preferably marinara)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • pepper
  • 1 bread, to accompany

  • In a bowl, mix the shrimp with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, red pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet and cook the shrimp until lightly browned, 2 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet.
  • Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet and sauté the onions, garlic, and bacon for 4-5 minutes.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the tomato sauce. Cook until the shrimp are well cooked (3-5 minutes).
