Mix the olive oil, sugar, chili powder, and garlic salt in a bowl. Add to the shrimp and mix.
Prepare the skewers by placing 1 piece of each color of bell pepper, 1 piece of onion, 1 slice of zucchini, and a piece of shrimp. Repeat 2 or 3 times.
Heat the grill and just before cooking the skewers, soak the wooden sticks so they do not burn.
Cook the shrimp for approximately 5-8 minutes on each side or until they turn pink. Remove from the grill and serve.
