3 cloves garlic
1 Jalapeño chile, chopped
1 fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 lime zest
1/4 cups coconut milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon pepper
500 grams shrimp, large, peeled, deveined, and washed

In a deep bowl, mix the garlic, jalapeños, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime, coconut milk, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
Add the shrimp and marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Place the shrimp on skewers (3-4 per skewer).
Heat a grill over high heat until it starts to smoke and cook the skewers until golden brown on each side (approx. 4 minutes).
Place the skewers on a serving plate.
Cook the shrimp marinade on the grill for 1-2 minutes to thicken and pour over the shrimp.
