Shrimp Stew

  • 1 kilo shrimp, cleaned and peeled
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cups celery
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups button mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 pinches clove
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/3 cups wine
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper

  • Melt the butter in a skillet.
  • Lightly fry all the vegetables including the parsley and cloves.
  • Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Add the water, flour, and wine, stirring continuously.
  • Then add the shrimp, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well, cover, and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
