  • 1 cup Rice Flour Three Stars®
  • 1 1/4 cups wheat flour
  • 3/4 cups beer
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups medium-sized shrimp, clean and peeled
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup guajillo chile, in thin strips
  • 1/2 cups garlic, in thin slices
  • salt

  • In a bowl, mix Tres Estrellas® rice flour, wheat flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Then, add beer and egg and mix with a whisk until you obtain a smooth and lump-free mixture.
  • Dip the shrimp in the batter mixture and fry in a pan with enough oil over medium heat for 8 minutes or until golden and well cooked. Remove and place on a plate with paper towels.
  • For the garlic sauce: heat the oil over medium heat, add the chilis and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Place the garlic shrimp in a bowl, drizzle with a bit of the sauce, and serve with lemon.
