Breaded Shrimp

  • 500 grams large shrimp, clean, peeled
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • vegetable oil
  • Thousand Island dressing, for accompaniment
  • lime, halved, for accompaniment

  • Place the flour on a flat plate, on another side, mix the egg with the milk in a bowl, and finally, mix the breadcrumbs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika on a flat plate until fully combined.
  • Dip the shrimp one by one, first in the flour plate, then in the egg with milk, and finally in the breadcrumb and spice mixture.
  • In a deep pot with enough hot oil at medium-high temperature, fry the shrimp for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oil with the help of tongs and place on a plate with paper towels.
  • Serve the breaded shrimp on an appetizer plate and accompany with thousand island dressing and lemons.
