Governor Taco style Sinaloa

Delicious recipe recommended for any time of the year, these famous tacos from Sinaloa; the gobernador tacos are a dish that seafood lovers will adore. Prepare them.

  • 1/2 kilos medium-sized shrimp, cut in half
  • 6 Poblano chiles, deveined and sliced into juliennes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cups asadero cheese, grated
  • 1/2 onions, sliced into strips
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • vegetable oil
  • 1/2 kilos tortillas, of corn or flour

  • In a pan, fry the onion together with the strips of poblano pepper in oil and butter.
  • Once the onion is transparent, add the shrimp and season with pepper, salt, and oregano to taste.
  • Stir for no more than 5 minutes.
  • Once the shrimp are cooked, cover the stew with asadero cheese to gratin.
  • Serve immediately in flour or corn tortillas.
