Homemade Garlic Shrimp Pasta

  • 2 leaves bay
  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 guajillo chiles, cut into rings
  • 1 1/2 cups shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese

  • Heat a pot over medium heat with water until it reaches boiling point, add the pasta, salt, and bay leaves, cook for 10 minutes or until al dente.
  • Heat a skillet over low heat with the oil and melt the butter, add the garlic slices, the guajillo chili, and cook until soft.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 3 minutes, then add the pasta, season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and enjoy.
