Rock Shrimp Skewers

A lighter version of the original rock shrimp recipe. This dish is delicious and your family or guests will love it.

  • 500 grams large shrimp, headless
  • 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 5 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 egg, batter
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups panko
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 stems chives

  • Mix all the ingredients for the sauce: mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar.
  • Mix the egg with the milk in a deep bowl and set aside.
  • Mix the flour, panko, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in another deep bowl and set aside.
  • Wash, peel, and clean the shrimp, making sure to remove the dark intestines.
  • Bread each shrimp by first dipping it in the flour mixture, then the egg, and then back in the flour. Place on a platter and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet with plenty of vegetable oil. Once hot, fry the shrimp until golden (approx. 3 minutes). Remove from the oil and place on paper towels.
  • Mix the shrimp in the sauce and place on skewers.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
