Breaded Shrimp Tacos

The breaded shrimp tacos are a recipe that everyone, both kids and adults, will love. They are delicious breaded shrimp served in a tortilla with a tasty side and a delicious sauce.

  • 20 medium-sized shrimp, clean and headless
  • 1 cup flour
  • 300 milliliters lager beer
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 egg
  • 400 milliliters vegetable oil
  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup red cabbage, filleted
  • 1 carrot, finely grated
  • 1 cup cucumber, with skin, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 manzano chiles
  • 1/4 red onions
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup pineapple, cut into small pieces

  • For the shrimp tacos: add flour, baking powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and beer in a bowl, mixing thoroughly to avoid lumps. Incorporate the egg and finish mixing. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • For the garnish: cut the cucumber into thin slices with the skin on. Thinly slice the red cabbage. Cut the onion into thin feathers. Peel and cut the carrot into very thin strips. Remove the skin from the pineapple and cut it into medium cubes.
  • Clean the shrimp by removing the intestines and shell, place them in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the shrimp to the batter and mix very well to coat them perfectly.
  • Heat oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
  • For the sauce: finely chop the manzano chili and add it to a bowl, incorporate the mayonnaise, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  • Fry the shrimp one by one until they are golden and well cooked, remove them and place them on absorbent paper.
  • To serve the tacos: heat the tortillas and place the fried shrimp. Add cucumber, carrot, onion, pineapple, manzano chili sauce, and cilantro leaves.
