Shrimp & Avocado Jicama Tacos

Prepare these fresh shrimp avocado tacos, a delicious recipe with jicama shells. This refreshing recipe is great for warm weather. Instead of tortillas, they are served on thinly sliced jicama shells.

  • 1/2 cups lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 serrano chiles, trimmed and seeded
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cucumbers, trimmed and seeded
  • 1 tomatillo
  • 1/8 onions
  • 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 allspice berries, grounded
  • 500 grams shrimp, clean and peeled
  • 1/2 jicamas, cut into thin slices
  • 1 Avocados from México, cut into thin slices
  • 1 mango, cut into thin slices
  • 1/4 red onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chile flakes, for garnish

  • Combine lime juice, serrano chile, cilantro, cucumber, tomatillo, onion, salt, and pepper in a lender and blend until smooth.
  • Mix shrimp with blended mixture and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve shrimp on jicama shells. Garnish with avocado slices, mango, and red onion. Sprinkle shrimp & avocado jicama tacos with chile flakes.
