Tomato Shrimp

A simple and very traditional recipe from the coasts of Sonora. They are cooked in a rich sauce made with tomato and red bell pepper, which fills them with flavor, and when presented with a bit of white rice, no one will be able to resist them.

  • 700 grams shrimp, cleaned and headless
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into sticks
  • 4 tomatillos, chopped into cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped into cubes
  • 2 cubes Knorr® tomato bouillon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 cloves
  • lime juice
  • pepper

  • In a pan, roast the peppers with the onions and garlic with a touch of oil until golden. Remove. In the same pan, roast the tomatoes with a little more oil until they are well toasted.
  • Blend a handful of peppers, onions, and tomatoes along with the clove and the cubes of Knorr® Tomatísimo®. Add a little water if necessary.
  • In a pan with a little well-heated olive oil, fry the shrimp for just 5 minutes until they have changed color. Add the blended sauce and the remaining peppers and a few drops of lemon. Let simmer for 5 more minutes.
