Spicy and Creamy Shrimp Tacos

These shrimp tacos are delicious and very easy to make. They combine sea and land flavors because they contain beans and are perfect to enjoy by yourself or with friends.

  • vegetable oil
  • 3 cups shrimp, cleaned and peeled
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 box Del Fuerte® ground tomatoes with chipotle chiles, 7.4 oz
  • 1 teaspoon chile flakes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups refried black beans, refried black beans
  • avocado
  • red onion, for garnish
  • cilantro, leaves, for garnish

  • Heat a pot over medium heat. Add vegetable oil and fry onion with garlic for 3 minutes. Add cream and Del Fuerte® ground tomatoes with chipotle. Add chile flakes and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add vegetable oil and cook shrimp for about 3 minutes. Pour previously made sauce and cook for 2 more minutes until shrimp are cooked through.
  • Assemble tacos with refried beans and shrimp with sauce. Garnish avocado, red onion, and cilantro.
