  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, for the rice
  • 1 tablespoon soy, for the rice
  • 1 cup surimi, in cubes, for the tampico
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, for the tampico
  • 3 tablespoons onion, finely chopped, for the tampico
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, for the tampico
  • 1 tablespoon serrano chile, finely chopped, for the tampico
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil, for the tampico

  • Mix the rice, rice vinegar, and soy sauce in a bowl until integrated. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the surimi with mayonnaise, onion, cream cheese, and serrano chili. Set aside.
  • Place a bit of rice on a plastic wrap, then add a bit of surimi and wrap it with your hands, forming a sushi ball. Next, dip the ball in flour, egg, and panko. Press to compact.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan, fry the sushi balls for 5 minutes or until slightly golden. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
