Tuna in Tomato and Basil Sauce

1/4 cups olive oil
750 grams tuna steak, 1.5 cm thick
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cups cherry tomato, chopped
1/2 cups dry white wine
1/4 cups basil

In a large skillet, put 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.
Sprinkle salt and pepper (generously) over the 4 tuna steaks.
Cook the steaks in the pan until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Pass to a plate and reserve hot.
Wipe the pan a little with a napkin and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
Cook finely chopped onion until smooth, 6-8 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, the wine, and let it cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Reduce the heat and let the sauce thicken, another 5 minutes.
Add the basil, and let it cook. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the tuna steaks and dip with sauce on top of each one.
