Tuna in Tomato and Basil Sauce

1/4 cups olive oil
750 grams tuna steak, 1.5 cm thick
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cups cherry tomato, chopped
1/2 cups dry white wine
1/4 cups basil

In a large skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.
Sprinkle salt and pepper (generously) over the 4 tuna fillets.
Cook the fillets in the skillet until browned, about 3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
Wipe the skillet lightly with a paper towel and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
Cook the finely chopped onion until soft, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, wine, and let it cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Reduce the heat and let the sauce thicken for another 5 minutes.
Add the basil and let it cook. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the tuna fillets and drizzle sauce over each one.
