Tuna Roll

Because Lent doesn't have to be boring, we give you this tasty recipe for a tuna roll. It has a creamy and spicy filling and a very eye-catching presentation. The best part is that you don't need an oven to prepare this delicious dish.

  • 3 packages cream cheese, 190g each
  • 1/2 cups chipotle chile, ground
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups canned tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cups tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cups red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups yellow corn kernels
  • 1/4 cups peas
  • 2 serrano chiles, finely chopped
  • 1 package sandwich bread
  • cherry tomato, for decoration
  • green olives, for decoration
  • parsley, for decoration

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and add the chipotle chili, mayonnaise, and season with salt and pepper. Place a quarter in a piping bag and set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix the tuna with the tomato, red onion, yellow corn, peas, serrano chili, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cut the edges of the bread and on a non-stick plastic wrap, place the slices of bread and use a rolling pin to press and flatten the slices together.
  • Spread the chipotle cheese over the bread, and add the tuna. Using the non-stick plastic wrap, roll it up. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Decorate with cheese, tomatoes, olives, and parsley. Cut into 2 cm thick slices and serve.
