Easy Tuna Croquettes

Recipe for tuna croquettes that the whole family will love. Made with canned tuna in a breaded béchamel sauce, they are delicious! It’s the dish that you and your family will love to eat.

  • 1 stick butter, (90 g)
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 4 cans tuna, (295 g each)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 cup flour, for coating
  • 2 eggs, for coating
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs, for coating
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • In a pan over low heat, melt the butter and cook the onion until translucent. Add the celery and cook for a few minutes. Add the flour and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the milk and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Freeze the mixture for 15 minutes.
  • In a bowl, combine the milk mixture, tuna, and finely chopped parsley. Shape into croquettes and coat by passing through flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the oil over high heat in a small pot or deep pan and fry the croquettes. Drain on paper towels and serve.
