French Salad Sandwich with Tuna

This salad is easy and delicious, it’s the sandwich version of French tuna salad. It’s also great for taking to the office or school since preparing it a day in advance makes it tastier. You can vary the ingredients depending on what you have in your refrigerator.

  • 1 baguette
  • 1 clove garlic
  • olive oil, extra virgin
  • basil
  • 1 can canned tuna in water
  • 3/4 cups black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 red onions, diced
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 limes
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • 1 can artichoke heart, chopped

  • Slice the bread in half and remove the crumb. Spread olive oil, rub the garlic clove, and place basil leaves on each half.
  • Mix the salad, artichoke hearts, tuna, olives, bell pepper, onion, and cilantro. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  • Add the salad inside the bread. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate overnight. Enjoy the next morning or immediately.
