Fresh Tuna Salad

This recipe is perfect for tasting at parties and gatherings. It is also great for filling canapés. The vinaigrette gives it a delicious flavor. If you have never tried fresh tuna loin, I invite you to do so; it’s perfect.

  • 1 kilo fresh tuna, cut into cubes
  • 1 red onion, cut into julienne
  • 1 white onion, cut into julienne
  • 2 serrano chiles, or green chili cut into julienne
  • 2 yellow chilis, or yellow chili cut into julienne
  • 2 red chiles, or red chili cut into julienne
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into julienne
  • salt, to taste
  • parsley, finely chopped
  • 20 olives, in slices
  • 2 tablespoons soy
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 carrots, cooked, in slices
  • peas, in pods or green beans (optional)
  • 1 red sangria lettuce

  • Place the cubed tuna in a glass bowl. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix all the vegetables, seasonings, and spices.
  • Combine the tuna with all the ingredients and let marinate in the refrigerator (covered with plastic) for 1 hour.
  • Keep refrigerated until serving.
  • Adjust the seasoning; if desired, add more soy sauce, vinegar, or even a few drops of lemon.
  • Serve on a bed of romaine lettuce.
