Puff Pastry Tuna Pie

This practical and versatile puff pastry tuna pie will get you out of trouble, as by using Herdez® Vizcaína Stew with tuna, you only need to add a few extra ingredients and you'll have a delicious filling. It's ideal for sharing with family.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 envelopes Biscayne Stew with Herdez® Tuna
  • 1/4 cups almonds, skinless, chopped
  • 1/4 cups bell pepper, canned, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons güero chile, chopped
  • salt

  • 1/4 cups parsley, finely chopped
  • flour, for rolling out the puff pastry
  • 1 kilo puff pastry
  • 2 egg yolks, for brushing
  • parsley, for garnish

  • For the filling: Add olive oil, onion, and garlic to a pan over medium heat and cook until softened. Then add the Herdez® Vizcaína Stew with tuna, almonds, bell pepper, güero chili, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle with parsley and cook for 10 minutes. Let cool and set aside.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and place it in the pie mold, covering the entire surface. Use a fork to prick the base, add the filling, and cover with the puff pastry, pressing the edges very well to prevent it from opening.
  • Prick the puff pastry again with your fork, brush with egg yolk, and bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and enjoy.
