Seared Tuna with Granola

Prepare this delicious low-fat seared tuna with granola. It’s a very easy recipe to make and has a delightful contrast of flavors with a crunchy crust of Kellogg’s® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins. Pair it with a tasty oriental sauce and enjoy!

  • 2 cups Kellogg’S® granola ancestral grains; sunflower seeds, amaranth and raisins
  • 2 tuna
  • 2/3 cups olive oil
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice

  • Mix the olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, peanut oil, and lemon juice.
  • Cover the tuna with the marinade and let it rest for 2 minutes. Coat the tuna with Kellogg’s® Ancient Grains Granola; sunflower seeds, amaranth, and raisins, covering all sides of the tuna.
  • Heat a skillet and place the tuna in it. Sear all sides of the tuna for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and refrigerate; this helps stop the cooking and makes it easier to slice.
  • Put the remaining marinade in a pot and let it boil for a few minutes until it slightly reduces. Take the tuna out of the refrigerator and slice it thinly.
  • Serve with the sauce.
