Stewed Tuna with Potatoes

The best part is that it is made with easily attainable ingredients like tuna, ancho pepper, guajillo pepper, and potatoes, enjoy it in tacos!

  • 3 guajillo chiles, seedless and soaked, for the marinade
  • 2 ancho chiles, seedless and soaked, for the marinade
  • 1/4 onions, for the marinade
  • 2 cloves garlic, for the marinade
  • 1 cup vegetable broth, for the marinade
  • salt, for the marinade
  • pepper, for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cans Herdez® tuna in water
  • 1 cup potato, in small cubes, peeled
  • corn tortillas, for serving
  • white rice, for serving
  • guacamole, for serving

  • For the marinade: Blend the guajillo pepper, ancho pepper, onion, garlic, vegetable broth, salt, and pepper for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic, and add the Atún Herdez® in water. Then, incorporate the marinade and potatoes and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Serve the stewed tuna with potatoes and accompany with tortillas, white rice, and guacamole.
