Tuna al Pastor Tacos

This Lent, don’t skip the tacos al pastor and prepare this incredible version of tuna al pastor tacos with the classic side dishes of onion, cilantro, and pineapple. Served on warm corn tortillas and accompanied by a delicious green salsa. With this recipe, you won’t notice the difference!

  • 3 guajillo chiles, deveined and soaked
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 25 grams achiote
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 8 envelopes Marina Azul® tuna in olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • white onion, finely chopped, for serving
  • fresh cilantro, finely chopped, for serving
  • pineapple, diced, for serving
  • green salsa, to accompany
  • lime, to accompany

  • Blend the guajillo pepper with the onion, orange juice, achiote, garlic, cumin, oregano, and salt.
  • Marinate the Tuna Marina Azul® in olive oil with the previous preparation for 20 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with the olive oil and cook the marinated tuna for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve the tuna on warm corn tortillas and accompany with cilantro, onion, and pineapple. Add a few drops of lime and salsa.
