Tuna Milanesa

Canned tuna is an ingredient that can be very versatile, for example, in this tuna milanesa recipe. A completely different way to make milanesa, taking advantage of the products you have at home to give them new flavors and try recipes that are out of the ordinary.

  • 3 cups canned tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle chile
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cups parsley, finely chopped

  • 2 eggs, for breading
  • 1 cup milk, for breading
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs, for breading
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, for frying

  • In a bowl, mix the tuna with chipotle chili, mustard, garlic powder, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Form patties with your hands, about 100 grams each, and chill; bread and set aside.
  • Flatten the patties and shape them like milanesa. Chill in the refrigerator for two hours, or freeze for 30 minutes.
  • To bread, beat the egg with the milk; season with salt and pepper. Dip the tuna milanesas in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the milanesas in enough oil and serve with salad and guacamole.
