This recipe was made by my mom at home, and it turns out really delicious; we all love these tuna empanadas with tomato and onion, they are very easy to prepare.
First, we will cook our tuna; for this, we will add the tomato and onion, and we will drain the tuna to later add it to our pan.
After about 3 minutes of adding the tuna, we will season with salt and pepper, and add the cilantro (finely chopped).
Now we add about two teaspoons of ketchup or to taste.
We turn off the heat and work with the dough; we need to roll it out with a rolling pin and cut circles to form our empanadas.
Once they are cut, we will fill them with the tuna, fold them in half, and seal the edges with a fork.
Place them on a greased tray or with parchment paper, and give them a shine with the egg; for this, you should put it in a bowl and mix very well. Now, with a brush, you will glaze your empanadas and put them in the oven at a temperature of 170°C for about 40 minutes or until they start to turn golden.
