Tuna Tartare with BBQ Sauce

Tuna tartare in BBQ sauce is a fresh, light, delicious recipe, perfect as a starter for a lovely dinner. It is easy to prepare, and if you add the BBQ sauce with Oregano Cocina Mestiza®, it will be spectacular.

  • 1 jar salsa, BBQ with Oregano Cocina Mestiza®
  • 3 fresh tuna
  • 100 milliliters olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/3 teaspoons red peppercorn
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 clove
  • 10 milliliters lime juice, yellow
  • 2 cups alfalfa sprouts
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cups fresh parsley
  • 2 green apples
  • 2 avocados
  • 30 grams salt

  • Finely chop the tuna and season with the spices, previously ground. Add olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, set aside.
  • Mix the parsley and cilantro, being careful not to bruise them, and slice the apples very thinly. Combine the fruit with the herbs.
  • Mash the avocado to form a puree, add salt and pepper, and a little olive oil.
  • Heat the BBQ sauce in a pot on very low heat for 20 minutes, check the seasoning.
  • Assemble the tuna, place some sauce on a plate. Then add a bit of the avocado, top it with the tuna, and finally, the sprouts.
