Christmas is a time to share, and what better treat to pamper family and friends than with delicious Vizcaína-style tuna empanadas shaped like Christmas trees, with a super crispy dough, decorated with cherry tomatoes and parsley.
Place flour, salt, water, egg, butter, and baking powder in a mixer, and knead until you have a homogeneous dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes and set aside.
On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm. With cookie cutters, cut out large trees, circles, and stars.
Place the tree shapes on a baking sheet, add the Vizcaína-style tuna filling, and brush the edges with egg. Close with another tree shape and decorate with the circles and stars. Brush with more egg and bake for 15 minutes.
Serve immediately and decorate with cherry tomatoes and parsley.
