White Fish with Oriental Sauce

I love this fish recipe for preparing any day of the week when I didn't have time to plan the meal. The hints of oriental flavor elevate the fish and pair perfectly with rice or couscous.

  • 4 white fish, like red snapper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cups green onion, chopped, the white and green part only
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Mix the oil, lemon juice, rice vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and ginger in a bowl. Stir well and season with salt and pepper. Add the chopped green onions sliced thinly.
  • Grease a pyrex with a little butter or oil and place the fish in it. Cover with the prepared sauce and let marinate for 5 minutes.
  • Put in the oven for 10 minutes or until the fish is cooked (depends on the thickness of the fish).
  • Remove from the oven and serve with sauce on top.
