Broccoli Cheese Patties

These broccoli cheese patties are perfect for the little ones, as they provide a fun and delicious way to eat vegetables.   • 1 liter water
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli, in large pieces
  • salt
  • 1 cup potato, well cooked and cut into cubes, to make patties
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1/4 cups cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cups Nutrioli DHA® pure soybean oil
  • ketchup, to accompany

  • In a small pot, boil the water, then cook the broccoli with salt for 6 minutes. Drain and cool under cold running water.
  • Place the broccoli on a cutting board and chop finely.
  • Place the potato in a bowl and mash until you get a puree. Add the chopped broccoli, onion, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, oregano, cilantro, egg, and breadcrumbs; season with salt and pepper and mix until you have a homogeneous consistency that you can handle to form the patties.
  • On a cutting board, form the patties and freeze them for 10 minutes.
  • Pour Nutrioli DHA® pure soybean oil into a skillet, heat over low heat, place the patties, and cook for 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve and accompany with ketchup.
