Broccoli Patties with Panela Cheese

  • 2 cups broccoli, for the broccoli
  • 1/2 onions, finely chopped, for the patties
  • 1/2 cups oats, ground for the patties
  • 1/2 cups panela cheese, in small cubes, for the patties
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the patties
  • 1/2 cups parsley, finely chopped, for the patties
  • 2 teaspoons oregano, for the patties
  • 1 egg, for the patties

  • In a small pot, boil water, add salt, the broccoli, and cook for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • On a cutting board, finely chop the broccoli with a knife, pour into a bowl and add the onion, oats, panela cheese, garlic, parsley, oregano, egg, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until fully combined and using your hands, form patties about 5 cm in diameter; repeat until the mixture is finished. Set aside.
  • In a skillet with enough hot oil, fry the patties over low heat, drain and set aside.
  • Serve accompanied by mayonnaise dressing.
