Cordon Bleu

This Cordon Bleu chicken is a very classic recipe that everyone loves. The succulent chicken is stuffed with ham and cheese, and it has a very crispy crust. Accompany this dish with French fries.

  • 4 bolillo rolls, stale
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 chicken cutlets, medium-sized and thin
  • salt
  • pepper
  • deli ham, sliced
  • Manchego cheese, sliced
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • flour
  • breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • ketchup
  • French fries

  • Grate the stale bread using a grater, then add some grated parmesan. Set aside.
  • Place the chicken cutlets on a board, season with salt and pepper, add a slice of ham and another slice of cheese. Roll tightly pressing to make the roll firm.
  • Beat the eggs with the milk and garlic powder in a bowl, then season with salt and pepper. Using tongs, dip the breasts in flour and then in the egg.
  • Remove the excess egg and coat with the breadcrumbs, pressing to compact.
  • Cut the breast into slices and serve with French fries.
