Fry the sausages in oil, trying to keep them as curved as possible since these will be the body of the snail. Once fried, cut a bit from the end to make that part thinner.
Remove the crusts from the bread and join them in a 2x4 shape by flattening the bread and sticking the edges with a little water.
Add mayonnaise to the entire flattened bread.
Then add the lettuce, the ham (which can also be fried if desired), and the cheese.
Carefully roll up the entire bread to form a large roll.
With the help of a slightly damp knife, cut the roll into four sections. These will serve as the shell of the snails.
On a plate, place the bread roll on the thin side of the sausages, and secure the thick part of the sausage to the bread with 1 or 2 toothpicks to form the snail. Use a little ketchup to draw the eyes and mouth.
