Fish Nuggets

If your kids don't like fish, this is the perfect way to disguise it. Enjoy making these delicious nuggets for your gatherings.

  • 600 grams fish, hake
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • black pepper
  • 100 milliliters vegetable oil
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 onions
  • basil

  • Blend the fish, salt, pepper, and if desired, you can add onion and garlic in your food processor. Incorporate a bit of breadcrumbs and form a paste.
  • Put a little flour on your hands and take the mixture, pass it through flour and shape it as you like. You can make small balls that look like popcorn.
  • Pass the balls through the beaten egg and then through the breadcrumbs. Repeat this step until you achieve the thickness you prefer.
  • Heat enough oil and fry the nuggets until golden brown on each side, being careful not to burn them.
  • For the marinara sauce: Blend the tomato, garlic, onion, and basil and let it reduce over the heat until it forms a paste. Place it on a small plate for your kids to dip their nuggets.
