Potato, leek, carrot, and pea puree

Potatoes contain vitamin C and are a good source of potassium, and they pair perfectly with other vegetables to make a delicious puree for your baby starting at 6 months.

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cups leek, washed and chopped (only the white part)
  • 1 potato, large, peeled and diced
  • 1 1/4 cups vegetable broth, low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2/3 cups frozen peas
  • 1 carrot, medium, peeled and chopped

  • Melt the butter in a pan and cook the leek for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the potato and carrot to the pan along with the broth.
  • Wait for it to boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the peas and continue cooking until the vegetables are tender for 6 minutes.
  • Blend everything in a food processor or blender until you achieve a smooth puree.
