BLT Sandwiches

This delicious way of making sandwiches is an American classic that you can't miss when grilling with friends or family. You can serve them as an appetizer or as a side dish for lunch.

  • 750 grams smoked bacon, sliced 1/2 cm thick
  • 8 lettuce leaf
  • 8 red beefsteak tomatoes, sliced about .5 cm thick
  • 8 sandwich bread, slices 1.5 cm thick
  • mayonnaise
  • Dijon mustard

  • Preheat your Weber® grill for medium indirect heat (350º - 450ºF or 175º - 232ºC).
  • Grill the bacon slices over medium direct heat for 1 to 2 minutes per side with the grill lid closed. Remove the bacon from the grill and set aside.
  • Place the slices of bread over medium indirect heat for one minute, flip 4 of the slices to toast the other side, and remove the other 4. Spread mayonnaise on the side of the bread that you have removed from the grill and place 3 to 4 slices of bacon on the bread, followed by lettuce and tomato.
  • Remove the 4 slices of bread from the grill and spread mustard on one side, placing them on top of the tomato.
  • Place the 4 sandwiches on the grill over indirect heat for one more minute on each side. Remove and serve.
