Tuna Steak with Ginger and Soy Vinaigrette

These tuna steaks are the recipe you needed to complete your special meal at a barbecue. Impress everyone with these steaks seasoned with a vinaigrette made with lime juice, ginger, Tabasco sauce, grape seed oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, and serrano chilies; it will turn out delicious!

  • 6 tuna steaks
  • olive oil

  • 1/3 cups lemon juice, for the vinaigrette
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, finely chopped for the vinaigrette
  • 1/8 teaspoons Tabasco sauce, or sriracha for the vinaigrette
  • 1/4 cups canola oil, or grape seed oil for the vinaigrette
  • 1 tablespoon shallot, finely chopped for the vinaigrette
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped for the vinaigrette
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce, low sodium, for the vinaigrette
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, for the vinaigrette
  • 2 serrano chiles, sliced very thinly for the vinaigrette

  • Prepare your Weber® grill for high direct heat (450° - 550°F or 232° - 287°C).
  • To prepare the vinaigrette, blend all the ingredients in a blender, except for the oil, until smooth. Gradually add the oil in a thin stream while continuing to blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • Brush the tuna steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper. Then place them on the grill over high direct heat for 1 minute on each side. Remove from the grill and let rest at room temperature.
  • To serve, cut the steaks into slices or cubes, add the vinaigrette, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. You can accompany it with your favorite salad.
