Fresh Cobb Salad

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 romaine lettuce
  • 3 cups chicken breast , grilled and sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 3/4 cups blue cheese, in pieces
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 onion, small
  • 1 bottle dressing, for ranch-style salads

  • Place the eggs in a pot and cover completely with cold water. Bring the water to a boil. Cover, remove from heat, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the eggs from the hot water, peel, and slice.
  • Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain, chop, and set aside.
  • Divide the lettuce among individual plates.
  • Arrange the chicken, eggs, tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon, onion, and avocado in rows on top of the lettuce.
  • Drizzle with the dressing.
