Homemade Almond Butter

Prepare this delicious homemade almond butter, which has an incredible consistency with a hint of cinnamon and ginger. Try it on rich rye toast or on a slice of banana.

  • 1 cup almonds, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil

  • Preheat the oven to 150°C.
  • Toast the almonds for 15 minutes in the oven, making sure they do not burn.
  • Add the almonds, maple syrup, salt, ginger, and cinnamon. Process gradually so that the almonds release their oil. For about 9 or 10 minutes. You will gradually see the mixture turn creamy.
  • Add the sunflower oil gradually to achieve a creamier consistency.
