  • In a pot, add the rice, water, and salt. Heat over high until the water boils. Lower the temperature, cover the pot, and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and cool.
  • Transfer the rice to a bowl, add sesame seeds and McCormick® Mayonnaise Dressing Almond Oil. Mix until fully integrated.
  • Then, form rice balls with your hands and coat them in cornstarch, as this will help them hold together better and not fall apart easily; flatten them slightly to form a circle. Next, place them in a pot over medium heat with oil, and once hot, fry the rice cakes for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
  • Add the puffed rice, McCormick® Mayonnaise Dressing Almond Oil, and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix perfectly until everything is well integrated.
  • To shape them: using a circular cutter, start forming the cakes, using a spoon to compact them better; finally, brush with the egg yolk and bake at 170 °C for 15 minutes.
  • Serve the homemade rice cakes and top them with your favorite toppings or enjoy them on their own.
