Lentil and Oat Burgers

If you have lentils in your pantry and don’t know how to cook them, this is a great idea, as they not only provide many nutrients, but also offer a delicious meatless option to enjoy a classic dish.

  • 2 cups lentils, boiled
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons oats, flakes
  • 60 grams onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 garlic, mashed
  • 200 grams flour
  • 2 grams salt
  • 2 grams pepper
  • 100 milliliters sour cream
  • 4 burger buns
  • 100 grams lettuce, washed and disinfected
  • 100 grams onion, in rings
  • 100 grams tomato, sliced

  • In a bowl, mix lentils, egg, oats, onion, oregano, and garlic, add flour until the mixture is homogeneous and you can form the burgers, season with salt and pepper.
  • Make small balls and flatten them; shaping the burger, then fry them in hot oil.
  • Heat the bread and assemble the burger.
  • Add onion rings, lettuce, and tomato to taste.
