Light Soy Meatballs

  • 1 cup soy meat
  • 1/3 cups bread crumbs, whole grain or ground if necessary
  • 1/2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 egg whites
  • oregano

  • Soak the soy meat for about 10 minutes so that it gains consistency.
  • Meanwhile, it's time to grate the whole wheat bread in case you don't have store-bought, it's important that it is whole grain because this makes it much lower in calories.
  • Mix the bread with the soy meat in a bowl, add the egg whites, salt, oregano, onion and garlic. You can also add different spices and grated vegetables to taste.
  • Make small balls in the shape of meatballs and place them on a plate.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the meatballs and finish cooking them by dipping them in a typical tomato sauce.
