Nopal Tortillas

  • 2 nopales
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons masa harina, of nopal
  • water
  • 1/2 kilos masa dough
  • salt

  • Blend the nopal with the cilantro, nopal flour, and a little water until you achieve a smooth mixture. In a bowl, mix the corn dough with the previous mixture gradually and season with salt. Knead until you get a smooth and moist dough.
  • On a board, form small balls with the dough of approximately 20 grams. In a tortilla press with plastic, place the ball and form the tortilla; set aside.
  • Heat a griddle over medium heat and cook the tortilla until it puffs up; repeat the process until you have the desired number of tortillas.
  • Serve and enjoy.
